they even have structures for an entire training year from off-season leading up to during season. and remember strength training has to be combined with proper nutrition for max effect. so work hard on it but try not to kill yourselves.
cheers!
here are the highlights of one of the classic matches played between the british and irish lions and the all blacks. esp watch how the all blacks play, it will blow you away.
forwards: pay attention to the lions' pack, this is as good as you get as a forward pack goes.
backs: just let the all blacks backline blow your head off. also pay attention to the guy in the black no.10 jersey. if you dunno who he is, you ought to shoot yourself.
1st half
2nd half
enjoy!
hi guys,
the following is a very good article talking about having a fresh perspective on the traditional defense mentalities.
it talks a lot about being proactive instead of reactive and bringing the defense to the opposition. backline players should take note, there are some pretty good strategies that teaches you to contain the ball within the inside channel.
here's the article:

same thing, right click save as. requires adobe acrobat reader. have fun reading.
cheers!
here are 3 very very good videos imho with loads of info. leaves you no doubt with the breakdown area. pls watch carefully and repeat if necessary.
Part 1.
pay close attention to part 1 starting at 1:09 , look at the way the tongan team tackles and the way the all blacks do the quick hands. both the defence and attack are textbook.
Part 2.
Part 3.
cheers!

REFEREESIGNALS_4538.pdf
note: right click on the link, save as. requires adobe acrobat reader.
the docs are pretty long, so read them little by little. e.g. cutting them into sections. but pls do go read up. it's imperative that you understand the laws of the game before you can play the game.
